Colmar is firmly on the tourist trail with 'Little Venice' as the main attraction.
It certainly is beautiful with unusual architecture, a winding river complete with gondolas. We stopped over for one night and got up early to wander around before the tourist buses arrived.
Little Venice is full of local produce, cafes and pizza joints specialising in the local dish 'Flammkuchen'. Well worth a visit if you are passing through the area.
